• 2CO-DPDT Relay

A 2CO-DPDT Relay is an electromechanical switch that uses a low-power control signal to simultaneously switch two independent circuits between normally closed and normally open contacts.

How a 2CO-DPDT Relay Works

  • Terminology: 2CO (2 Change Over) is the European/IEC designation, while DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) is the North American standard; they mean the exact same thing.
  • Dual Poles: It features two separate, independent switches (poles) that move together when the internal electromagnet coil is energized.
  • Contact Terminals: Each pole has three connection points: a Common (COM) terminal, a Normally Closed (NC) terminal, and a Normally Open (NO) terminal.
  • State Change: When de-energized, COM connects to NC. When voltage hits the coil, it pulls the switch to connect COM to NO, letting you control separate voltages or completely different power supplies simultaneously.
Common Specifications & Options
  • Coil Voltages: Available in common control voltages like 12VDC, 24VDC, or 230VAC depending on your triggering circuit.
  • Contact Ratings: Frequently rated for switching loads up to 10A or 12A at 250VAC.
  • Pinouts: Standard round configurations often use an 8-pin setup for plug-in sockets.
